Alan Bergreen trained as an actor with Sanford Meisner in his private classes at the Neighborhood Playhouse; pursued classical training in Voice and Shakespeare with Kristin Linklater and at the London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art (LAMDA) and scene study with Vivian Matalon and Lynn Redgrave. He has appeared with Sir Ian McKellen in the Royal National Theatre production of “An Enemy of the People” at the Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles; with Morris Carnovsky in “The Cherry Orchard” at the Long Wharf Theatre in Connecticut, and worked with directors of the Old Vic, Royal Shakespeare Company, Royal Court Theatre and Theatre du Vieux Colombier of Paris.
