Martin Dew trained at The Guildford School of Acting in the UK. As a voice artist he could also be heard in BBC Radio 4 Drama's Fear On Four Series and in the 1994 film Captives. Having moved to California to join a division of Lucasfilm in the 1990s. His recent return to acting has included roles in Steven Spielberg's War Horse (2011) and Paul Thomas Anderson's The Master (2012), as well as appearances on Conan and Funny or Die.

Born and raised in London, educated at Westminster School, John spent 13 years in the Merchant Navy, qualifying as a ships Captain. A career in shipping, the law and insurance followed, as well as lecturing at Greenwich University, London. John trained as an actor at the London Centre for Theatre Studies, and has extensive stage experience, particularly with Shakespeare roles. He has performed in London’s West End. Film credits include a lead role in the Brit thriller “The Last Seven”.
