As a child, Christina would sit with a tape recorder and record herself reading books aloud, and she is still happily reading aloud today! She has been a voice actor for over 10 years from her home studio in Calgary, Canada, recording commercial and narration projects alike. Her narration of the YA title “The Surprising Power of a Good Dumpling” garnered an Earphones Award in December 2020, and showcased her ability to weave authentic characters, Cantonese Chinese and accented English into an emotional coming-of-age story.

Helen Cricco studied at the Neighborhood Playhouse and Stella Adler in New York City before landing roles in film in television, including HBO’s Flight of the Conchords and a web series from NBC’s iVillage. She has also performed on stage across the country, most recently in Paper Angels in San Francisco as well as in the Snubfest Comedy Festival in Chicago, for which her improv troupe took home first place. Helen is now using her talents to narrate audio books and cites her daughter as her inspiration.
