Good character-fiction narrators are a dime a dozen (and, yes, I’m proudly one of them). But with a BA in theatre/rhetoric, an earned Ph.D. in “moldy old dead Europeans,” and 15 years university teaching experience, I’m uniquely qualified for dense or complicated prose, high-end nonfiction, technical vocabulary, specialized languages, or research. Most importantly, I’m the father to four amazing kids, who like my reading of Harry Potter better than Jim Dale’s… but they may be prejudiced.
