Jorge Mario Reyes was born in Guatemala City, where he spent his childhood and adolescence.

In 1998 he obtained an Elementary School Teacher Degree in Guatemala, and in 2002 a B.A. with a major in Music from Universidad del Valle in the same country. He was part of the artistic movement of Guatemala for close to ten years and he enjoyed a very successful career as the sax player for one of the most influential and outstanding bands in Central America, Malacates Trébol Shop. He also worked on several very important advertising campaigns for Unicef and other such entities. In 2006, he decided to move to Los Angeles, California, whereto enter the Audio Engineering program at The Los Angeles Recording School.

In January 2007, he joined the Deyan Audio Services team to lead the Spanish division. There, he had the opportunity to get well acquainted with the process of casting, producing, editing and QCing of audiobooks both in Spanish and English. A lover of Cervantes' language, his goal is to achieve the diffusion of universal culture to the hispanic community around the world, and at the same time to expose amazingly talented writers through audiobooks.
